Subscriptions
The old way to take a commitment is a PDF form, three email rounds, and a missing signature on page eleven. In Smat Asset Management Solution, a subscription is an Investor’s request to invest an amount in a deal, made online. You decide the steps on the deal, the Investor completes them in the investor portal, and an Admin or Member accepts or rejects the result.
Set the steps on the deal
You configure the whole subscription form, including the NDA and any signables, from the deal’s Subscription form tab.
Open the Subscription form tab
Open the deal in the manager portal and choose Subscription form.
Turn on the steps you need
The available steps are investment profile, amount, file uploads, terms and conditions, signing, and bank account. You add the NDA and signables on the same tab.
Open funding
Turn funding on when you want Investors to start.
Ask only for what you need at subscription. Northbridge Capital collects KYC files when an Investor first joins, so its Lisbon Logistics Fund II form asks for the profile, the amount, the signed subscription agreement, and a bank account. A shorter form gets finished.
Before the deal opens
In pre-launch, the Subscription form tab becomes Intentions. Investors signal a non-binding amount, and you see their soft commitments on a board with notes and history. Intentions help you size the first close. They are not subscriptions until you convert them.
What the Investor does
The Investor opens the deal, picks or creates an investment profile, completes the steps, and submits. They see a thank-you page, and get an email once you approve. The walkthrough is in Subscribe to a deal. To process what comes in, see Review a subscription.
