CRMAdd a contact

Add a contact

You met someone at a conference and want them in the list before you forget the conversation. Admins, Members, and Relationship Managers can all add a contact. A Relationship Manager’s contacts go to their personal CRM.

Add one person

Open the CRM

Choose CRM in the manager portal. It opens on Contacts.

Add the contact

Choose Add a contact and enter the name and email, plus any other details you have.

Save

The person now appears in your contacts list.

Make them easy to find again

A contact with only a name and email is hard to use a month later. Add a label straight away, such as the deal they asked about or the event where you met. If the person works for a firm you already track, assign them to that organization from the organization’s row menu. Create the organization first if it is not in the list.

At Northbridge Capital, an analyst who meets a pension fund’s investment officer adds her, labels her “LLF II”, and assigns her to the pension fund. When the fund opens, filtering by “LLF II” gives the team its call list.

Use the Activities tab to write a short note after each conversation. A note written that day is worth more than a good memory next quarter.

Bring in a whole list

Admins and Members can upload many contacts at once from a CSV, Excel, or TXT file. Smat Asset Management Solution offers an example file to show the expected columns. If you are moving from Pipedrive, import its CSV export instead. AMS shows a review step where you match columns and resolve duplicates before anything is saved. Relationship Managers can use the Pipedrive import, and the contacts land in their personal CRM.
