Investor portal
If a firm invited you to look at an investment, this is where you do it. The investor portal is your own space, separate from the tools the firm’s team uses. It carries the firm’s branding, so it may show their logo rather than Smat’s. For questions about a specific deal, ask that firm. This guide covers how the portal works.
Say Northbridge Capital invited you to Lisbon Logistics Fund II. You sign in, upload any KYC documents they require, and land on your dashboard.
What you see
The portal has four areas. Dashboard sums up your portfolio, its value over time, your mix by asset type, your pending tasks, and recent transactions. Offerings lists the deals the firm opened to you. If it is empty, contact your account manager at the firm. Investments lists your subscriptions and their status. Documents holds the files shared with you.
Open an offering to read its information, documents, and updates. You can tell the firm whether you are Interested, Undecided, or Not interested, or send them a message from the deal. Your message reaches the firm’s team directly.
Documents and requests
In Documents, filter by type, download files, and archive the ones you are done with. Sign anything sent for signature from there. Open a document in preview to ask the AI chat questions about that file, such as the fee terms or the lock-up period. Ask it to quote the clause, then read that clause yourself before you rely on the answer. Under Requests you see what the firm asked you for and upload the files. You can also ask the firm for a document you need, such as last quarter’s report.
Invest
When a deal is open, you subscribe from its page. See Subscribe to a deal.
You never see the firm’s other investors, its CRM, or its internal notes.
