We provide solutions and tools designed to allow professional investors to add crypto to their clients' portfolios and to improve investment in the asset class in a secured, consolidated and dynamic manner.

Executive Summary

Digital assets, in particular crypto-assets, have been growing at an exponential rate both as an industry and as an asset class. However, the financial landscape remains very restricted for directly accessing digital assets with many entry barriers.

As a result, such assets cannot be massively adopted by professional investors who mainly invest through exchange-traded fund (ETF) or exchange-traded product (ETP) solutions.

Crypto-assets, token economy and decentralized finance (DeFi) will greatly expand the investment spectrum for professional investors and the real-world assets will be brought into this ecosystem, generating huge opportunities and considerable wealth.

In this context, SMAT is developing a tailor-made solution for professional investors to smooth the access to the ecosystem, with the following strategy:

• Facilitating direct investment by professional investors into digital assets by offering (i) a wallet specifically designed for their needs and (ii) a secured and regulated custody solution;

• Aggregating best-in-class investment solutions on the market enabling professional investors to access the cryptomarket and to leverage cryptocurrencies within the DeFi ecosystem;

• Offering innovative and diversified financial products by bringing real-world assets on-chain thanks to a tokenized solution adapted for professionals and merging these with the accessible tools of DeFi.

SMAT will be offering to professional investors an access to crypto-assets (including cryptocurrencies and tokenized real-world assets) and decentralized applications (DApps) on a single dynamic marketplace.

The ecosystem will feature its native currency, the SMAT token, which will be the backbone of the SMAT platform. It will create an incentive for every transaction inside the SMAT ecosystem and it will function as a reward measurement unit and a community management tool.
